Court Freezes Football Kenya Federation’s (FKF) Accounts Over Coach Bobby Williamson’s Compensation

The Employment and Labor Relations Court has given an order to freeze Football Kenya Federation’s (FKF) accounts for failure to pay former Harambee Stars coach Bobby Williamson’s compensation.
Bobby Williamson, who also coached Uganda Cranes (2012-2014), was sacked by FKF in 2016.
The Scottish man sued the FKF for unlawful dismissal and was awarded about Ksh57m, before FKF appealed.
“That the application herein is certified as urgent and service upon the garnishee be dispensed within the first instance on account of its urgency,” said Justice Byram Ongaya, as quoted by Daily Nation.
“That an ex-parte order be issued against the garnishee herein attaching forthwith all the funds held in a bank account numbers.
“That a hearing date be set for confirmation of the attachment order absolute and to facilitate immediate release by the garnishee of the sum of Ksh Sh57,371,363,33 from the funds held in the subject bank account to the decree holder through its advocates on record.”
Williamson has also coached Kilmarnock, Hibernian, Plymouth Argyle, Chester City and Gor Mahia.
He won four CECAFA championships with Uganda Cranes – 2008_ 2009, 2011 and 2012.
