Catherine Kusasira Sells Off Sevo’s Toyota Land Cruiser V8 Gift

Band singer and presidential advisor, Catherine Kusasira has sold off Toyota Land Cruiser V8 registration number, UBF 610S that she received as a gift from president Museveni.
Catherine Kusasira and Bebe Cool received Toyota Land Cruiser V8 cars as reward for their strong support for the NRM government. It is alleged that Eddy Kenzo’s V8 also came from the government.
A year down the road, Catherine Kusasira has decided to sell off her gift. Netizens rushed to a conclusion that she could not afford its maintenance while others claim she had a lot of debts.
In an interview with NBS TV ‘UnCut’ gossipmonger, Isaac Kawalya aka Kayz, Kusasira said she decided to sell off the car because the public was not happy with it.
She told Kayz that everywhere she went, people complained that the money used to buy her car would have helped in building hospitals and that forced her to sell it and buy a car which they will be comfortable with.
On allegations that she sold it because she could not afford its maintenance, Kusasira defended herself and argued that she always drives big cars.
Since president Museveni banned concerts in March 2020, most artistes have been struggling financially because performances were their main source of income.
Some have resorted to begging the government for bailouts while others have ventured into side businesses to support themselves.
