MC Mariachi Finally Reveals Why He Fell Out With MC Kapale

Comedian, Kasozi Charles aka MC Mariachi has revealed that he bitterly fell out with his mentor, Bashir Kawuki aka MC Kapale over a tip.

Mariachi started working MC Kapale at Chez Johnson in Nakulabye hosting comedy nights. He found MC Kapale established and a star.

Along the way, the pair landed another gig at Monalisa – a bar owned by South Sudanese tycoon, Tito Tong where they formed a duo.

In an interview with MC Ibrah, Mariachi said that Kapale was always juggling happening places because he had many gigs. This made Mariachi win the trust of the employees because he was always available.

When Tito Tong left for South Sudan and vanished for three months, MC Kapale who was used to his tips, lost interest in work and started concentrating on other gigs.

The day Tito Tong returned, he found Mariachi performing and tipped him 500k in MC Kapale’s absense.

Because they were working as a duo, MC Kapale called and asked why Mariachi didn’t tell him about the tip.

Kapale confronted Mariachi and threatened to have him sacked from Chez Johnson. he was indeed sacked but later the management realized his potential and called him back.

Mariachi said he wanted to give Kapale part of the tip but due to quarreling, he changed his mind since the tycoon tipped him personally. That’s how the pair fell out and parted ways.

As we speak, Mariachi is considered as the best comedian in Uganda but Kapale keeps punching holes in his art claiming that he copies his jokes and style.

Mariachi now runs a football team in Nansana and plans to set up a football academy. He also has a a performing group, Mariachi Dancing Troupe.
