Daniel Lutaaya Quits NBS TV, Lands Mega Job

Senior journalist, Daniel Lutaaya has quit Naguru Summit-based, NBS Television following four years of service.

Lutaaya who joined NBS TV in 2018 as an investigative journalist, announced his departure on his Twitter account.

He thanked Next Media Services CEO, Kin Kariisa for giving him an opportunity and the NBS TV newsroom for tremendous support.

Hello friends, CHOGM-Rwanda was my final assignment for @nbstv and today is my last day. A great 4 years at this great station have finally come to an end. Thank you @KKariisa for the opportunity and mentorship. Thank you the NBS newsroom for the support.

He also thanked the viewers for loving him, his voice and promised to reveal his next move soon.

Lutaaya follows the likes of Solomon Serwanjja, Sheila Nduhikire among others who have left NBS TV for fat jobs.

Previously, Lutaaya worked as a sports journalist on defunct WBS TV and Kwese TV before joining NBS TV in 2018.

It should be noted that other high profile journalists have left their jobs for fat paying gigs. Recently, Frank Walusimbi left NTV after 16 years of service and joined The United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR).
