Kylian Mbappé becomes the highest paid player in the world

Kylian Mbappé put pen to a contract renewal at Paris Saint-Germain after rejecting a move to Real Madrid in the last summer transfer window.
There were reports that PSG’s Qatari owners were determined not to lose their star French player and it appears they pulled out all the financial stops in order to persuade him to remain at Parc des Princes.
According to the American economic magazine Forbes, Kylian Mbappé will become the highest-paid footballer in the world by the end of the 2022/23 season with an estimated earning of $128 million (excluding before and agents’ commissions).
The report suggests that the 23-year-old forward has ended an eight-year dominance that has often seen either Lionel Messi or Cristiano Ronaldo top the list of highest-paid footballers in the world.
It is understood that the Frenchman will earn $110 million in salaries and $18 million from sponsorship deals outside his domain.
The top five on the list include Lionel Messi ($120m), Cristiano Ronaldo ($100m), Neymar ($87m), and Mohamed Salah ($53m), respectively. Manchester City striker Erling Haaland has made the top 10 and sits in the sixth position, while the report shows that former Spain international Andrés Iniesta will earn $30 million, a million more than 10th-placed Kevin De Bruyne on the respective list.
