Why NBS TV Let Agatha Loswash Go | Full List Of Sacked Next Media Employees
December 10, 2022Agatha Loswash is gone! Last Wednesday, Next Media Services CEO, Kin Kariisa axed 30 employees in a process to realign the company’s digital realignment process.
In a communication, Kariisa said, “We simply cannot continue to approach our work the same as we currently do, especially with our winning DNA”.
The 30 members relieved of their duties worked at NBS TV, Sanyuka TV and Next Radio.
The most known sacked employees were; Karitas Karisimbi who was presenting on Nxt Radio, Jordan Mubangizi – a reporter at NBS TV, Bismac Moses Amumpaire and Agatha ‘Loswash’ Atiti who used to present Pundonor Magazine.
Before television stations went digital, NTV had ‘Login’ program that used to broadcast entertainment news. It was so big that its presenter, Robin Kisti had a huge impact on the youth.
NTV also started Pundonor Magazine with Mable Precious Twegumye Zake. Later, Agatha Loswash took over and we can say it was the most watched show of that era.
When television stations went digital, NBS TV switched to Gossip shows which overshadowed Agatha’s Pundonor Magazine. It became irrelevant.
With digital realignment process, the Next Media CEO found her show outdated and decided to wield an axe on her.
Agatha is not the only leaving Naguru Summit-based Media Park, other employees that were deemed unfit to take Next media forward are;
Noah Kyeyune, Edris Kiggundu, Turyagumanawe, John Kibalizi, Fatia Nassali, Aminah Nabukenya, Micheal Kigozi, Jordan Mubangizi, Esther Namutamba, and Karitas Karisimbi, Bismac Moses Amumpaire, Hilda Bahati, among many more others.
