Cindy asks gov’t to stop funding Eddy Kenzo’s Musicians Federation
October 6, 2023Uganda Musicians Association (UMA) president Cindy has come out asking Government of Uganda to stop funding Eddy Kenzo’s Uganda National Musicians Federation (UNMF).
Eddy Kenzo started his Federation a few months ago with an aim of helping Musicians get a copy right law.
He said that would help artistes earn more from their work than going to perform tirelessly in order to earn something.
Creating this Federation, there was an association already taking musicians forward although it wasn’t moving as fast as artistes want.
UMA has been having fights of leadership among themselves and that helped Eddy Kenzo to start strong.
Recently, Eddy Kenzo and his team went to parliament to meet members of parliament and that didn’t sit well with Cindy Sanyu.

She has come out saying government should stop listening to Eddy Kenzo and his people because they are disorganised.
“Can Government stop sponsoring some of the disorganization, we have our wars as the industry and we promise that we are going to deal with it as equal members and respectful people,
I want the Government to stop injecting money in this disorganization because it is making it worse” – Cindy sanyu, UMA President
