Maulana Remanded To Luzira Prison

Maulana Kasozi of the comic duo Maulana and Reign has been been remanded to Luzira prison this afternoon over domestic violence.
Last week, Maulana’s wife, Shubira Betty Nalujja, whom they have three children together, went public and accused the comedian of children neglect and domestic violence.
Today morning, the comedian was picked by Police patrol car. We hear, later he was paraded in court and remanded to Luzira prison.
Over the years, Nalujja and the comedian have been at loggerheads. In April, 2022, Nalujja ran to the media and pinned Maulana of domestic violence and children neglect.
It took Mama Fina’s intervention for the pair to re-unite. Two years down the road, they are back in the news.

Shubira Betty Nalujja revealed that she met the comedian when she was in S.4 and kicked off relationship. By that time Maulana had not become a star.
They have been staying together for 6 years and have 3 children.
Nalujja told journalists that one year after she had moved in Maulana, the comedian married another woman. She claims he has several and continues to harvest Kampala slay queens.
Nalujja claims the comedian has been battering her and at one point he promised to kill her. She wanted to leave his rental with the kids but Maulana told her to leave them behind.
According to Nalujja’s dad, he blasted Maulana in 2022 for lack of focus and plan. He questioned how the pair managed to produce three children in a space of 4 years.
Father in-law revealed that the comedian used to come to his home to repair electricity and started confusing his daughter who was in S4 vacation by then.
The girl wanted to drop out of school but he forced her to complete S.6 which was a hustle as the comedian couldn’t give her breathing space.
After completing S.6, the comedian came home and convinced the dad that he was going to foot her tuition at campus, unfortunately, she never stepped there.
