How Bad Is It? Azawi Shocked By The Level Of Poverty In Zombo District 

Swangz Avenue singer Azawi is shocked by the level of poverty in some of the rural areas she has been to like Zombo District.

She said she can’t believe the life people in those areas live as they don’t have clothes and some even lack food.

Uganda is one of the developing countries in Africa. They economy is not stable and those that benefit most are districts that are near the city.

There are some areas were people are completely illiterate and don’t even know what is even going on in the world.

According to Azawi, Ugandans pay taxes but she doesn’t know where the money goes. She said if all these taxes can’t help the less privileged like those in Zombo district then no need of paying them.

The singer said she is not a politician but she is concerned about how other Ugandans live especially those in villages like Zombo district.

“Not so long ago i went to perform in ZOMBO district and what i saw there was heartbreaking, mwana nga embeera ya bantu mbi nyo.  We pay crazy taxes   but it hurts that it can’t even benefit our most vulnerable people okujjako ABAKAMUZI !! So why pay taxes?? I mean why??,”
