Da Agent Reveals The Power Of A Hit Song In Uganda

Singer and rapper Da Agent has revealed the power of a hit song to a musician in Uganda.

He said that without a hit song, an artiste doesn’t matter at all and at the same time it will be hard for one to make money to do something on their own.

Uganda is one of the African countries where someone with just one hit song can perform at any stage for any money and another artiste with many songs not not hire can’t get a gig to even perform at any stage.

The problems comes in when the hit song doesn’t stay for so long meaning an artiste can trend for a few months and without another song he or she can be forgotten easily.

For Da Agent, everything he does he has to make sure he atleast gets a hit song otherwise he will be struggling for nothing.

It should be noted that many stake holders in the industry have complained about the quality of the Ugandan music. They usually say people aim at making hit songs not quality songs.

Ugandan music doesn’t have copyright so artistes earn from just stage performances.
