Andres Iniesta urges Barcelona to revive Neymar transfer interest

Neymar is expected to return to Barcelona in the summer transfer window.

The Paris Saint-Germain star, who tried to leave France last year for Barca, is still wanted by his former club.

Several Barca players were believed to be so desperate to bring Neymar back that they offered to forfeit signing bonuses in order to help fund the move.

However, the transfer never materialised, and the 27-year-old was forced to stay in Paris.

Barca were unable to afford the deal last summer having already forked out £108million on Antoine Griezmann, and they couldn’t agree on any players to exchange with the Parisians in a cash-plus-player bid.

Regardless, the Catalans are still believed to be keen on trying to go after Neymar again in the upcoming summer window.

And Barca legend Iniesta has implored the club to sanction the move, despite them not appearing to need any other reinforcements up front.

The Vissel Kobe player told Marca that he thinks Neymar would be a “great signing” to make.
