On July 3rd, a Vision Group newspaper, Kampala Sun published a front page story with headline ‘Balaam harasses Uganda Cranes over Sevo cash’.
The article purported to suggest that Balaam is muscling Cranes players for a share of the money allegedly paid by president Museveni to Uganda Cranes.
The lawyers say the publication was false, baseless, had no truth and has damaged Balaam’s reputation.
They demand an apology in 3 days and a compensation of Shs.1000,000,000 (Shs.1bn) to their client, Balaam or drag Vision Group to court.
The lawyers have also copied Uganda Communications Commission (UCC).
