Ashburg Katto Accuses Police Of Assault, Left With Broken Teeth

NRM blogger, Ashraf Katto aka Ashburg Katto says Post Office Police post OC, Atwasa Gilbert assaulted him last night leaving him with broken teeth.

Ashburg who says he is being treated at Senta Medical claims he was driving to UBC last night to present a national project about the climate change when the curfew enforcers stopped him, beat him up and towed the car he had borrowed.

“I have been badly assaulted (physically), embarrassed and manhandled by O.C of Post Office Police Post (Atwasa Gilbert). They would have beat me but not towe the car I just borrowed to take me at @ubctvuganda to present a National Project about the Climate Change..”, Ashburg posted.

Ashburg narrated that even after identifying himself, the security operatives continued to beat him and lost the teeth in the process. He called NRM mobiliser, Balaam Barugahara to save him but the security operatives refused to talk to him.

Ashburg who quit NUP and joined NRM, has denounced his support for the ruling government but vowed to continue voting Museveni.

It should be noted that president Museveni ordered a 42-day lockdown and shut down inter district movements to curb down the spread of Covid-19.
