Betty Nambooze Survives Panga Wielding Assassin | VIDEO

Mukono Municipality MP, Betty Nambooze Bakireke is still traumatised after surviving panga wielding assassin in the wee hours of this morning at her home in Mukono.

In the video making rounds on social media, Nambooze can be seen crying inconsolably as she narrates how an assassin entered her bedroom with a panga and asked her to say her last prayers.

Nambooze who crossed from DP to NUP and retained her parliamentary seat, says the assassin jumped over her neighbor’s fence and accessed her compound before entering the house.

Waking from the bed, she was shocked to see a man with a panga standing near her. She ran to the bathroom but the assassin approached the bathroom door and asked her to come out side.

He asked her to say her last prayers and told her he was going to kill her. She says she doesn’t know how she survived.

She informed Ugandans about the development on social media and later recorded a video narrating the ordeal.

Bannauganda, today this morning you almost lost me. Assassin in my bedroom alone , but he gave me last chance to say my last prayer! This time I don’t know how I survived

Of late, panga wielding thugs have been terrorising different parts of Uganda with Masaka the most affected.

Makindye West MP, Allan Ssewanyana and Kawempe North counterpart Muhammad Ssegirinya are still remanded at Kigo Prison on allegations of sponsoring ‘Bijambiya’ assailants.
