Bukedde FM ‘Ekirya Atabaala’ presenter, Kazibwe Bashir Mbaziira was arrested yesterday for allegedly spreading misleading information about Covid-19.
Mbaziira who also hosts ‘One on One With Tamale Mirundi’ while presenting his program ‘Ekirya Atabaala’ on Bukedde TV, he called and interviewed alleged Covid-19 patients hospitalized at Gulu Hospital.
The so called admitted Covid-19 patients were over heard saying they are not sick and are in good health.

One of the person Mbaziira called, he narrated that they are about 500 people quarantined at Gulu Hospital but claims they are all okey.
“We interact with each other and do our routine workouts every evening, but everybody Section 171 of the penal code act criminalises negligent actions that are likely to spread infection of disease. The offense attracts seven years of imprisonment upon conviction.
We are yet to receive information from the authorities that arrested the Uganda Journalists Association (UJA) president.
