Eddy Kenzo Set To Return Home, His Arrival Date Revealed
July 17, 2020Uganda’s finest music export and BET winner, Edirisa Musuuza alias Eddy Kenzo will finally return home after almost four months of being stranded in Ivory Coast.
Kenzo who had gone to perform at Masa Fest in Ivory Coast on March 16th, was left stranded in the West African country after president Museveni announced abrupt lockdown in March.
Being in French speaking country, Kenzo first found it hard to cope and was hospitalized twice.

His plea to return home even reached in parliament and Speaker, Rebecca Kadaga tasked the Minister of foreign affairs to fly Eddy Kenzo back and clear his bills but was told the government had plans to evacuate the stranded Ugandans in West Africa.

Finally, the government through the Ministry of Foreign Affairs finally agreed to start reparations of Ugandans who were stuck abroad and according to the ministry, Ugandans in West Africa, where Kenzo is, will finally be brought home on July 24, 2020.
A statement from the Uganda Airlines indicated that Abidjan, the de facto capital of Ivory Coast, will be among the cities where stranded Ugandans will be evacuated from.
“Hello Ugandans in West Africa, #WelcomeHomeUG.,” noted the statement.
Uganda Airlines will on 24th July 2020 operate a repatriation charter flight from Lagos, Accra, Abidjan & Douala to Entebbe.”
This creates a ray of hope for the “Tweyagale” singer to finally return home after months of asking to be evacuated.
Kenzo has used his stay in Ivory Coast positively and has dropped three songs; ‘Mulungi (sawale)’ praising God for what he has done for him, ‘Boom Boom’ , a collabo with Ivory Coast female artiste, Vitale and ‘Mugole’.
