On Friday, State Minister for Foreign Affairs, Henry Oryem Okello told Ugandans that plans were in place to extradite ‘toxic’ blogger Fred Lumbuye Kajjubi aka Chemical Ali from Turkey yesterday morning.
Netizens waited to see a man who has been bashing the NRM Government, the first family, Mengo Kingdom and anti-NUP personalities in vain.
On Wednesday, August 3rd, Turkish blogger, Kojja Omugezi told his followers on social media that Lumbuye was kidnapped and whisked away to unknown destination.
However, his claims were trashed after the Turkish government confirmed they had arrested him.
According to his dad, he told Bukedde that he last talked to Lumbuye on Tuesday, August 2nd. He says that he was confused after learning about the news of his son’s arrest but he is now settled after knowing that his son is in prison.
He has pleaded with the government of Uganda to pardon his son and give him another chance. He argues that some bloggers have been bashing the government but have bot been arrested.
