Jose Chameleone Relocates To USA After Kampala Lord Mayor Election Defeat

Legendary singer, Joseph Mayanja aka Jose Chameleone has left for the US after losing Kampala Lord Mayor election to incumbent, Erias Lukwago.

Chameleone who came in fourth place behind behind Lukwago, Nabila and Ragga Dee, intends to stay in US for two months after spending almost two years without seeing his family.

Chameleone’s wife, Daniella Atim and his kids relocated the USA in February 2019 after the ‘Valu Valu’ singer splashed over $200,000 (about Shs 730million) on a mansion in Minneapolis Minnesota.

Five months ago there were rumours that Daniella had separated with Chameleone after an audio leaked online saying she looks at him as a brother.

Some bloggers also alleged that Daniella was moving out with General Mega Dee.

Chameleone’s journey to contest on Kampala Lord Mayor seat faced un upheaval task after he quit DP and joined Bobi Wine’s NUP, only to be snubbed. NUP handed the flag to Latif Ssebagala Sengendo who later pulled out. NUP again snubbed Chameleone and endorsed Nabilah Nagayi Ssempala.
