Juventus 0-2 Barcelona, Messi scores his 4th consecutive penalty for the first time in his professional career
October 29, 2020Barcelona sent out a huge statement with an impressive win over a lacklustre Juventus side.
Ousmane Dembélé opened the scoring with a right-footed effort from long range which took a huge deflection before sailing past Wojciech Szczęsny into the top corner.
It was not Alvaro Morata’s night as the striker had three goals ruled out for offside. Juventus’ misery was then compounded when Merih Demiral was sent off for a second bookable offence.
Cristiano Ronaldo wasn’t available for the reunion with Lionel Messi due to a positive COVID-19 test, but the Argentinian made his presence felt by wrapping up the win from the penalty spot in the closing stages.
Note : Lionel Messi’s last four goals have come from the penalty spot for the first time in his professional career (club and country). Cristiano Ronaldo has never done this
