Kaftah Queen Released From Prison

Kaftah Queen – the girl who appeared in a video beating up Pretty Nicole with her friends, has been released from prison.
On January 17, Kaftah was paraded before Kira Chief Magistrates Court, charged with aggregated torture and remanded to Luzira.
On January 31, Kira Court Chief Magistrate, Roseline Nsenge sentenced Kaftah Queen to three years in prison over aggregated torture of Pretty Nicole and inflicting grievous bodily harm.
After serving 6 months, On Friday, July 21, Justice Margaret Mutonyi of the High Court, Kampala set Kaftah free after her lawyer appealed the sentence.
The High Court ruling accessed by routineblast.com, Justice Margaret Mutonyi ordered Kaftah Queen’s sentence, conviction and orders of trial court to be set aside.
She also ordered the convict (Kafta Queen) to be set free.

Pretty Nicole – Kafta Queen Saga:
The police got in touch with Pretty Nicole to record a statement but she refused to cooperate with the police saying that she blames herself for everything that happened to her. She later agreed to record a statement after being persuaded.
With lots of people demanding for justice, the police managed to track down Kafta Queen and arrested her on January 10. Other suspects disappeared.
