KCCA FC Sack Manager, Mike Mutebi
March 29, 2021KCCA FC (Kampala Capital City Authority Football Club) have parted ways with manager, Mike Hillary Mutebi on mutual consent.
Mutebi who has been at the helm of Lugogo-based side for the last five years has been shown door following series of unconvincing results registered in the first round of Uganda Premier League.
Mutebi registered 8 wins, 3 draws and 5 defeats in the first round of the Premier League.
KCCA FC confirmed Mutebi’s departure and appointed U20 head coach, Morley Byekwaso to take charge of all first team duties on interim basis.
“KCCA FC and the Manager, Mike Hillary Mutebi have today, the 29th of March 2021 agreed by mutual consent to terminate his employment with immediate effect.The Club, under his stewardship has attained three League titles, two Uganda Cups, four Super Cups and one CECAFA Clubs Cup over the last five years making him the most successful Manager in the Club’s history. The Club recognizes his immense contribution in making KCCA FC the leading Club in Uganda and wishes him well in his future endeavors. Morley Byekwaso takes charge of all First Team duties as the Interim Manager immediately. We wish Morley and the Team the best of luck”, Club statement reads.

The 13-time league champions will host BUL FC on Friday, April 2nd at MTN Omondi Stadium which will serve as Morley Byekwaso’s first game in charge.
Morley Byekwaso guided the Hippos to the finals of the recent concluded U20 Africa Cup of Nations finals, losing 2-0 against Ghana in Mauritania.
