Lampard impressed with Mount reaction after Chelsea signings

Chelsea star Mason Mount did not get his head down when he saw the club adding more attacking players to the squad.
It would have been easy for the Englishman to view those transfers as a slight on his ability.
But he was delighted the club was improving the team, and only wanted to improve his own level as well.
It appears Mount being willing to fight for his place has sat well with manager Frank Lampard.
A source told The Athletic: “One of the reasons Lampard likes Mount is because he trains every day as if it is his last.
“He has the ambition to be one of the best.
“When the club made all the signings during the window, he reacted positively and made it obvious he was going to fight for his place.”
