MC Kats Set To Quit NBS TV After Landing Mega Deal

Celebrated city emcee and television personality, Edwin Katamba aka MC Kats is set to quit NBS TV after landing mega deal to sensitize masses on HIV/AIDS according to sources.

Of late, Kats has been attending seminars, spreading the gospel on HIV/AIDS courtesy of Uganda Aids Commission.

We have been informed that Kats inked a deal with Uganda Aids Commission and other health organizations to head the campaign ‘End Aids By 2030’.

‘End Aids By 2030′ organisers felt MC Kats’ popularity will help them reach as many Ugandans as possible after he publicly announced he was HIV positive in December 2019 while presenting at Wave Lounge.

Kats started working with defunct WBS TV as a teenager co-presenting Teens’ Club. He later joined NTV and successfully presented Xpozed show.

In April 2016, he crossed from Serena-based TV station and joined NBS TV to host ‘After 5’ show with DJ Roja and DVJ Mercy Pro. They were later joined by Douglas Lwanga who also crossed from NTV.

On top of TV gigs, Kats has made dimes emceeing in bars, clubs and events.
