Rumour reaching our desk indicates that media mogul, William Pike has bought off Bukoto based, The blazing Hot 100 FM.
Hot 100 FM, a sister to Radio Simba, started in 2006 and was launched in 2007 as an urban youth station majoring in Hip Hop and RnB.
Hot 100 had talented presenters; Bryan McKenzie, Rebecca Namitala aka Lady Bezo, Byg Kahuna among others that sold the station across the city.
It registered huge success in its first five years but later started declining after Bryan McKenzie and Lady Bezo quit.
In bid to revamp and the competition, Hot 100 FM rebranded into a comedy station but still failed to pick up.
Owners finally decided to give up and we hear Capital FM boss, Pike William purchased it and will be revamped into a new radio station when he fully takes over by the end of the year. William Pike is also the owner of Simba FM.
It should be noted that William Pike ran New Vision before Robert Kabushenga took over.
