Mesut Ozil & Piers Morgan in a war of words on Twitter

Piers Morgan and Mesut Ozil took aim at each other on twitter, the celebrity arsenal fan was clearly still nursing the wounds from the Gunners’ north London derby defeat at White Hart Lane.

Mesut Ozil put out a tweet talking about having fans behind him which didn’t sit well with Good morning Britain host hence a reaction.

Morgan compared Ozil to Man United’s Paul Pogba in that he was lazy and overpaid, but he was soon put in his place.

“Piers, buddy, are you still bitter from the other day?,” he wrote.

“It seems like you’re not a big fan of World Champions. I wish you would see as good as you hear things.”

Mesut Ozil was axed out of the arsenal squad completely by Arsenal coach Mikel Arteta and hasn’t featured in any competition this season.

But the Gunners are now struggling with creativity and scoring goals which makes the decision of freezing him out questionable.
