Moroccan Giants Compete The Signing Of Busoga United Striker, Joel Madondo
January 10, 2020Busoga United striker Joel Madondo has completed move to Moroccan giants Wydad Casablanca.
Madondo who felw to Morocco earlier this week, has signed three and half year contract with the Moroccan record Champions.
Wydad Casablanca rushed in to sign Madondo after Ayoub Khabi’s return to Hebei Fortune in China after the expiry of his loan spell.
Madondo scored in the CECAFA Senior Challenge Cup final as Uganda Cranes defeated Eritrea 3-0 at StarTimes stadium to win the championship for a 15th time.
He also represented Uganda on the U23 level.
Madondo rose from Copa Coca Cola (National Post Primary Schools competition) by featuring for Bishop McAllister, Risah Standard and Jinja SSS.
He becomes only the second Ugandan after Murushid Jjuuko to play for Wydad Casablanca.
Other Ugandans to play in Morocco are; Patrick Henry Kaddu who is at Berkane. Muhammed Shaban played for Raja Athletic Casablanca but his contract was terminated. He is now at Vipers SC.
