NBS TV Apologise For ‘All Lives Matter’ T-Shirts After Receiving Backlash From The Public
June 7, 2020Kamwokya-based NBS TV have apologised for using ‘All lives matter’ T-shirts on last night’s Saturday Night Live (SNL) show.
The station received a lot of criticism and backlash from the public for mistakenly using the theme to highlight their solidarity with anti-racism movements following the death of George Floyd in the USA.
Some of the viewers felt offended and accused NBS TV of missing the point by using ‘All lives matter’ instead of ‘black lives matter’.

NBSTv crew has no idea that the All Lives Matter is a slogan that's associated with criticism of the

After receiving lots of criticism, NBS TV took to social media and apologised.
Tonight on #NBSSNL, we rubbed many of our viewers, local and international, the wrong way when our team moved to don t-shirts labelled “All Lives Matter.” This was NOT our intention, and the outcome is far from what is expected of us. We shall do better. #BlackLivesMatter.
