Partey excited over Xhaka midefield partnership at Arsenal

New Arsenal signing Thomas Partey is raring to go and hopes to form a central midfield partnership with Granit Xhaka.
The defensive midfielder signed on deadline day from Atletico Madrid after his £45 million release clause.
Having been excellent for Atleti domestically and in the Champions League, Partey now hopes to carry that form to the Premier League.
And according to The Athletic, the Ghana international is ready to get straight into the first team, and spoke with manager Mikel Arteta about the plans for the team.
Partey believes his game compliments Swiss star Xhaka, and that the two would be an excellent central midfield duo.
Xhaka had fallen out of favour at the club with many supporters when Unai Emery was manager.
However, he has re-established himself as a key player under Arteta.
