Radio 5 Presenter, Prossy Among Dead As Trailer Rams Into A premio

Radio 5 presenter and accountant, Agaruraho Prossy was killed in Kiruhura fatal accident yesterday.

At least three people died and four others walked away injured after Trailer Benz number UBD 873 E lost control and knocked a Premio UAU 641 Z before knocking a building (shop) at OmuKyapa trading centre, Kiruhura district yesterday.

Accident was caused by a mad woman who obstructed traffic which prompted the bus to stop. The impatient trailer driver who was following the bus tried overtaking it hence ramming into premio Saloon car that was coming from Lyatonde side heading to Mbarara.

“So far 3 people are dead, 2 bodies taken to Lyatonde and one at Mbarara referral hospital. Four others still nursing injuries in Mbarara referral hospital”,.’ Rwizi Police spokesperson Samson Kasasira confirmed.

Among the confirmed dead is Agaruraho Prossy (Radio 5 presenter and accountant who was heading to Mbarara to see her sick mother at Mbarara referral hospital), and those critically injured include Naluyima Rodah, Kashaija Enos, Kakuru Joseph (driver of the premio) from Rushere Kiruhura district and Moses Savior, who were rushed to Mbarara referral Hospital as Police Investigations continue.
