Where does this leave Cindy and UMA? Eddy Kenzo meets President Museveni

Grammy nominee and Uganda National Musicians Federation (UNMF) Eddy Kenzo has finally met the president of Uganda H.E Yoweri Kaguta Museveni.

There has been a rumour that Eddy Kenzo’s aim had been to meet the president and get money from government.

He has been distancing himself from politics saying he is more in music and doesn’t have any intentions of wanting money.

However yesterday it proved otherwise ad he met the president and even posted on social media .

Eddy Kenzo said he is even looking Forward to letting every member of the UNMF meet the president too.

Cindy Sanyu has been complaining about Eddy Kenzo using artistes to get money from government and she doesn’t like it at all.

Her and the Uganda Musicians Association (UMA) she leads have never met the president themselves.

“In the quest for streamlining our industry and lobbing for a well functioning Music industry, today i met my Mzee H.E Yoweri Kaguta Museveni and we discussed the urgent need for the amendment of the Copyright & Neighboring Rights Act 2006. It was a great discussion in which he promised to follow into the matter with the urgency it requires.
He also accepted my request for a meeting to introduce to him the Uganda National Musicians Federation Leadership and how far we have gone as a federation in building national structures for a more inclusive and vibrant Music industry,” Eddy Kenzo posted.
