Winnie Nwagi Reveals Concert Date After Swangz Avenue Snub

Fans of singer, Winfred Nakanwagi aka Winnie Nwagi are fuming after Swangz Avenue announced Azawi’s concert snubbing Fire Baby.
Azawi’s first maiden concert dubbed ‘Azawi African Music Concert, will take place on July 22 at Zoe Grounds – Lugogo.
Winnie Nwagi joined Swangz Avenue in 2014 and she has been dropping hit songs year after year; Musawo, Janju, Katono Katono, Magic, Matala among many others.
To Nwagi’s fans, Swangz Avenue showed disrespect to their artiste by organising a concert for Azawi whom they signed in 2018.
While appearing on NBS TV ‘After 5’ show, Nwagi said she doesn’t problem with her record label (Swangz Avenue) staging Azawi’s maiden concert before hers.
Musawo hitmaker said she will stage her maiden concert soon when she feels ready.
She revealed that her concert will take place this year.
At the beginning of this year, insiders intimated to us that Swangz Avenue was planning to stage once concert for Azawi, Vinka and Winnie Nwagi but seems after talks with artistes, they changed plan.
Nwagi is among the top female vocalists in Uganda. She has won herself critics thanks to her controversial dress code, videos and photos she posts on social media.
However, some critics and fans who cross her line find themselves in trouble, she hits backs and blocks those who comment negatively on her posts.
The mother of one has been a free agent since breaking up with her boyfriend, Joshua Czar’bu in December 2017. She was so close to Chozen Blood after their successful collabo ‘Yitayo’ in 2019 but the pair gave themselves distance after lockdown.
We hear she is seeing a Muslim guy identified as Sulman and that the Fire Baby is contemplating concerting to Islam in bid to settle down.
