Winnie Nwagi left Agip Motel, Mbarara last night with a bruised leg after a weak calamity stage fell through during performance.
After filling Cricket Oval to full capacity on Friday, The Swangz Avenue songstress travelled to Mbarara for extra show. KT Promotions who bought the show, booked Agip Motel but hired a weak stage.
Energetic Nwagi, who was clad in high heels ready to impress her fans, stepped on weak boards as she sang ‘Magic’ and the stage fell through.
Tactically, she continued singing as of the bouncers managed to deal with her weight and pulled her up. She managed to continue performing through pain.
An insider intimated to us that one of her legs got bruises and had to get first aid after the show.
We can say Winnie Nwagi was a bit lucky! Pallaso suffered a serious knee injury and had to be operated after a stage fell through as he performed on Easter Sunday at La Grande Hotel – Bwaise.
He was forced to postpone his concert that was slated to take place at Cricket Oval – Lugogo on July 1 and 2nd until further notice due to pain.
I’m here to say I am so sorry. My concert won’t happening on July 1st and July 2nd as we had earlier on planned this year because of the knee injury that I sustained earlier this year that I’m still recovering from.
My doctors say I still need more time and I also think I do because I wanna give you the best of me both physically and mentally. I wanna be at my best and I feel like I’m not there yet.
I wanna let you know that I have absolutely done everything that I can to speed up this process, from physiotherapy to pretty much everything I could do but I’ve been challenged.
I wanna let you know that my knee is getting better and I promise you, my fans, we are gonna reschedule this and it’s gonna happen – but not on July 1st and July 2nd.
I apologise to those that have been anxiously waiting for the dates. I will let you know the new dates, please bear with me.
Pallaso’s statement
This was Winnie Nwagi’s maiden concert since she joined Swangz Avenue in 2014.
Swangz Avenue signed her in after she was voted second runner up at the Coca Cola rated next 2014.
Year after year, she has been dropping hit songs; Musawo, Janju, Katono Katono, Magic, Matala, Kano Koze among many others.
Despite her music success, Swangz Avenue had never organised her a concert.
In July, Swangz Avenue tasted Nwagi’s fans wrath after they organised Azawi a concert at Zoe Grounds – Lugogo. Azawi joined Swangz Avenue in 2018.
