Ykee Benda Refutes Plans Of Joining Parliament, Reveals What He Is Up To

Singer Ykee Benda real name Tugume Wycliffe has refuted plans of going to parliament in the 2026 elections.

There was rumour that he will contest as Kiira member of parliament when the time comes.

The singer said he is focused on his career and business, he has no plans of joining politics at any time as he thinks there are people experienced and ready to lead Ugandans.

In Uganda, musicians have found another path to live and better their life. They want to join politics and there are some who have already joined politics.

According to Ykee Benda, different people have different dreams. He said he now owns a school and they is where he is putting all his energy and time to provide good education.

He said he is trusting other people to lead him and he hopes everything goes to plan in his business.

“I don’t want to join politics at any point in my life. I am focused on the school that I own and people need to understand that dreams are different. All I want is good education I believe there are people good in politics we just need go trust them,” Ykee Benda said

It should be noted that the singer already has a record label and that is why he doesn’t want politics anywhere near him.
