Media personality Anna Talia Oze recently broke down in tears while addressing traders after floods destroyed her small business in downtown Kampala.
She revealed that she had lost millions of shillings in stock and pleaded for government support, highlighting the struggles of many “silent hustlers” like her.
In the meeting with fellow traders, Anna Talia Oze shared her ordeal after floods swept through city arcades, damaging her undergarment business.
She explained that she had invested heavily in producing and supplying undergarments to vendors (locally known as bayilibi), but the floods left her emotionally and financially broken.
Anna Talia called on the Minister of Disaster Preparedness and other government officials to step in and support small traders affected by the floods.
