Comedian Reign Omusoyisoyi has revealed reasons why he has remained loyal to opposition political party National Unity Platform (NUP) even after being denied a card to contest as a member of parliament.
He said that most people that were in his position decided to go and run as independent but he couldn’t do that.
According to Reign he has been a member of NUP from the beginning and he has always supported everything the party supports.
The comedian claimed that the party has rules and regulations and its members are supposed to go by them all the time.
As someone who has been in the party the longest, he is not greedy he knows that his time will come. He explained that the party has reasons why they didn’t give him the card and he is okay with the decision no matter how upsetting it is.
“Everyone is asking me why I didn’t run as independent but they are forgetting that I am among the first people to join NUP. I am very loyal to my party they have reasons why they didn’t give me a card and I respect that. My time will come,”
