Don Nasser charged, Remanded To Luzira Prison

Kampala City socialite Nasser Nduhukire, aka Don Naseer, and Promise Ateete were yesterday arraigned before Buganda Road Court on charges of aggravated human trafficking of a minor for sexual exploitation.

The  two were denied charges but have been remanded to Luzira Prison, awaiting to be committed to High Court to face trial since their charges carry a maximum penalty of death.

Nasser was arrested in Kenyan capital of Nairobi over the weekend after 2 months of being on the run fearing arrest.

This has become common in Uganda for socialites especially the big spenders to end up in prison on cases they are accused of.

Years ago it was Sipapa who was arrested for theft. The case has never been concluded and he is still locked struggling without support from people that he personally used to support.

For Don Nasser it is not clear on what he will happen to him. He pleaded not guilty and  he  will appear in court in a period of one month to see what the investigations will bring out in terms of the case.
