Why Late Hon Ssegirinya’s Mother Has Refused To Support NUP’s Candidate Nalukoolo For Kawempe North Bi Election

The late Kawempe North member of parliament Hon Ssegirinya Muhammad’s mother has completely failed to support National Unity Platform (NUP) candidate Nalukoolo Elias for Kawempe North bi elections.
She said that her son’s best friend and assistant Alex Lusswa Muhammad wanted to continue the legacy of the late but they denied him the card to go ahead.
He ended up still contesting under the independent card and was shun from the political party because he disrespected and disobeyed their rules of not contesting once they are not given a card.

According to Ssegirinya’s mother, she supports Lusswa because she knows that he is the right fit to represent his son and atleast complete his term that he was unable to do.

She even publicly said that she is in denial and doesn’t know what to do because his son would have wanted someone to do what he had promised the people of Kawempe and that is his assistant.
“II am deeply hurt by the betrayal from NUP leaders. Luswa was my son’s right-hand man and understood his vision. He deserves the opportunity to continue his legacy, at least to finish his term,” she said and declared him as the ideal candidate to replace her son,”
