Celebrated Emcee, Edwin Katamba aka MC Kats has finally disclosed the whereabouts of singer Fille Mutoni after netizens started questioning her disappearance from the music scene.
MC Kats and Fille have been together since 2013 with the former managing the latter. Their relationship grew, started dating and later wedded. The pair welcomed a baby girl, Abigail Farica Bwiza Kisakye in March 2015.
Fille was growing musically, but she started abusing drugs. Her situation worsened after MC Kats went public in 2019 and announced he was HIV positive. The ‘Squeeze’ singer accused MC Kats of not being considerate and announced breakup.
Since MC Kats was playing a major role in her life, she became stressed and started abusing drugs. Concerned parties teamed up and dragged her to Rehab. She was discharged but later relaxed.
As word started making rounds that she was also sick, Fille decided to go into hiding. MC Kats tried to save the day by displaying negative HIV results, but the didn’t do much.
The last time we heard about Fille was when MC Kats was accusing The Uganda National Musicians Federation (UNMF) boss, Eddy Kenzo of turning a blind eye on the singer.
In an interview with Daily Soup on Spark TV, MC Kats disclosed that Fille relocated to Rwanda. “Fille is okay, she travelled to france for two months, but later went back to Rwanda. The decision on whether she wants to return to music, is a decision she will have to make on her own”, MC Kats told Spark TV.
